Further evidence that both DRM and Real Networks suck

This poor guy actually bought 200 bucks worth of DRM-protected online music from Real Networks because he believed them when their website claimed that his music would work with an iPod. Guess what? His music can’t be played on his new iPod. Either he spends a week burning all his music to CD and then re-ripping it - after which it may sound terrible, since it was MP3-encoded to begin with - or he kisses 200 bucks goodbye.

I haven’t bought any music online since I paid for about 5 tracks at the Apple Music Store a few years ago. I enjoyed my new tracks… up until the moment when I changed computers and they all stopped working. Fortunately I only had to pay 5 bucks to learn my lesson: never buy music with DRM. For any reason. Sooner or later they will all stop working and you will wonder why you wasted your money.
